In 1920, the Revolutionary Military Council of the KhPSR was established in Khiva as a temporary body of revolutionary power. The Revolutionary Military Council of the KHPSR was established for organization, management, control, unification of units, administrations, institutions and establishments of the military department, political education of the troops of the republic and for the development of issues on the defense of the country. It was liquidated in 1923.
Decisions of the Revolutionary Military Council and the People’s Commissariat of Labour, the minutes of the meetings of the commissar cells of the cavalry and rifle regiments, reports of the military commissar, circulars and the instructions of the revolutionary military council, personal lists of military commissars and political officers and so on.
