In accordance with the decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR on July 3, 1939 on the organization of a geological service in the USSR and on the basis of the order of the People's Commissariat of the Fuel Industry of the USSR on July 15, 1939 in the system of the Main Geological Directorate of the People's Commissariat of the Fuel Industry of the USSR in Tashkent, on the basis of geological prospecting and exploration parties for coal of the Uzbek Geological Administration and the Sredazugol Combine, the Central Asian State Geological and Exploration Trust was organized, which, on the basis of a decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR dated May 23, 1940 and the order of the People's Commissariat of the Coal Industry of the USSR dated May 27, 1940, was reorganized into the Central Asian State Union Trust for Exploration of Coal and Shale Deposits (Sredazuglerrazvedka) and transferred to the Main Geological and Exploration Directorate of the People's Commissariat of the Coal Industry of the USSR.
The functions of the trust, according to its Charter, approved by the People's Commissariat of the Coal Industry of the USSR on December 25, 19-10, included the production of exploration of coal and shale deposits for the construction of mines and the performance of related work.
In connection with the transformation of people's commissariats into ministries, on the basis of a decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR dated January 19, 1946 and an order from the People's Commissariat of the Coal Industry of the Eastern Regions of the USSR dated January 23, 1946, the trust was transferred to the Main Geological and Exploration Directorate of the Ministry of Coal Industry of the Eastern Regions of the USSR, and from December 28, 1948, it was transferred to the Main Directorate for Coal Exploration (Glavuglerrazvedka) of the USSR Ministry of Coal Industry.
On the basis of the order of the Council of Ministers of the USSR on June 15, 1953 and the order of the Ministry of the Coal Industry of the USSR of June 18, 1953, the Sredazuglerazvedka trust was reorganized into the State Allied Geological Trust "Sredazuglegeologiya", subordinate to the Main Geological Directorate (Glavuglegeologiya) of the Ministry of Coal Industry THE USSR. It was liquidated according to the decision of the Council of Ministers of the USSR on July 5, 1957 and the order of the Main Directorate of Geology and Subsoil Protection of the UzSSR on July 15, 1957.
